Expected much more from the great reviews. This tube won't take more than 10 minutes to get to the other side. Extremely short, but still nice to see at least once. Bring flashlights if you have.
Definitely take the 10-20 minutes to see this tube. It’s massive. Walk right through it and check out the power of a lava flow. Watch your step and your head if you’re of above-average height. (I think the guide says 20-40 minutes round trip. It could only take that long if you spend 20 minutes in the tube itself.)
This was fun, short tube you can easily walk through. There is no easy path for disabled persons as it is stairs and a rough, sometimes wet floor that is poorly lit. If you're able bodied you'll be through in about 5 minutes. Understanding how it was formed makes the walk that much more spectacular.
Lava Tube was one of the stops on our guided tour bus. The Lava Tube was amazing to see and to actually go through. Our bus driver gave us a lot of information before we got there and that made going through the tube even more interesting. You see more than just the tube though, you do go through a "rainforest" of beautiful green vegetation.
It was pretty amazing, the tube was preserved well. It is well lit. However it is very short though. Most part of the lava tube is closed for public access. One small part of the entire tube is open to public. The entrance is pretty amazing. Most part of the tube is actually pretty wide.
