The steam vents alone were cool, but follow the trail 100 ft beyone the parking lot for a great view of the crate and lava pool!
The whole area has vents, pretty cool. All part of geology
Very close by to the entrance of the park. You get to see steam coming out from the ground as well as smell the sulfur. How often do you get to see that? Take a walk along the trail to get the Sulphur Banks. This area is windy.
The parking area is not much, we had to do parallel parking.
Very unique place to be in. Identifiable with various steam vents around, and reachable via walking from the visitor center. The two main steam vents (barricaded and with wells) has big dreams coming out. You can smell the earth there. Crater is well visible of th a area as well with 100-200 ft walk.
Great place to go to see a more clear view of the crater. You can get up close to a fee of the steam vents too.
