I can't say much for this park itself as I think most people come here to park their cars and walk to the lava flow viewing area, but this is a good place to do just that. Lots of bike rental tents (most or all were $20) with some offering shuttles to a point 2 miles in. The entire trek is ~4.5 miles one way. I walked but will probably bike next time just to cut on the amount of time. The path seemed fine for both walking and biking.
