Highly recommended! If you dream of seeing red hot lava flow into the ocean, Pahoa is the place to visit, and while you're there, Pele's breath is an excellent choice for a lodging. A small business managed by a charming couple, Pele's breath has airy, stylishly furnished rooms with en suite bathrooms, beautiful ocean views and a well equipped kitchen for the guests to use. Our room had a patio as well. On the grounds there are several steam vents, and there's even a steam sauna built around one of them, so you can soak away all your stress in a natural steam room. There's a nice variety of complimentary breakfast ingredients so that you can cook your own breakfast in the kitchen.
This place was awesome. They have a beautiful ocean view and nicely furnished, big rooms. There's a kitchen guests can use and a large variety of complimentary breakfast ingredients for making yourself the breakfast of your choice. The grounds are beautiful and interesting: there's vulcanic steam vents and even a steam sauna heated with natural steam. If you're going on a lava boat tour, the location of this hotel is perfect for that. All and all, highly recommended.
