Perfect hosts in this cute B&B. Great source of information on local eateries and the volcano park. Room is large and well appointed, bed comfy and gardens gorgeous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
You are getting a VIP experience staying at Ohia- Ricks and Cindy are extremely nice and friendly. They also provide first rate breakfasts, different dishes everyday of our stay! The place is 40 minutes from the Volcano National park- the drive is rather smooth and easy as well.
Great place for couples to stay! There is only one bedroom in this B &B , so we are the only guests. Room is clean with a huge porch(Lenai). Breakfast is served by the inn keeper Cindy or Rick every morning at 8am, which is extremely delicious! There's a pool at the back yard too.
Great breakfast, great location, comfortable and quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer.
I ADORE THIS PLACE! There are lots of places to stay in Hawaii, and I do not intend to stay anywhere else ever again when I am on the Big Island. Visiting the Ohia House was the most peaceful and enjoyable vacation I have ever had. The owners, Cindy and Rick, are friendly, helpful and not overwhelming with their presence. They are knowledgeable about the community, land and always seemed to know just what would interest me. The organic and locally grown fruits they serve with and for breakfast are mouthwatering. And I am all about coffee being ready for me when I wake up. The grounds are lush and private yet near enough other places to go and explore the island. The frogs sing at night and make you really feel like you are experiencing classic Hawaii from the screened in Lanai. Cindy directed me to some amazing hot springs which I will never forget! And lava fields... And volcano tubes...And delicious food... And beautiful flower gardens... I cannot say enough about what a great time I had at the Ohia house except to say that I have already booked a trip back in December and am already there in my head. A trip where this time, I learn to paddle board.
