Not completely horrible.
This school is for all the misfits in Hawaii who would not survive in Pahoa or Kea'au public schools. The teachers are a bunch of haole hippies who only care about money and will pass anyone so they recieve gov. money.
I can't speak for every teacher there, but my Daughter's teacher (grade 6) is great, and so is my son's teacher (grade 3). I'm not sure what the previous reviewer's problem is, but it sounds like he/she would have problems anywhere they went.
This is a great school- I've been to several private ones and this charter school is better than any school I've ever been to. I don't know where the Google User got his/her information but he/she needs to spend more time at H.A.A.S... We are a great big family. Our school offers different styles of learning to fit everyone's needs.
